Zika, Dengue and West Nile Virus

Zika, Dengue virus (DENV1-4) and West Nile Virus (WNV) have been classified as re-emerging pathogens due to the frequency and severity of recent epidemics. The recent outbreak of Zika infection has been linked to babies being born with microcephaly.

Plex has an active drug discovery program to identify Zika, DENV and WNV protease inhibitors, which have been shown to effectively inhibit viral replication in vitro and are being advanced for in vivo animal proof of concept studies.
